Private kindergarten NEMO was established in 2006 by Nadezhda Karamanska and Monika Petrova with the following mission: to bring up and educate children with a lot of music by arousing in them the joy in communicating with it.
Nadezhda Karamanska comes from a family of musicians. She has been playing the piano since she was 4. She graduated from the German language high school in the city of Haskovo and later from the Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski” where she specialized in Preschool Education and Music coach in kindergartens. In 1992 she specialized in teaching German language at kindergartens and elementary schools. Since 1989 she has been working as a children’s teacher and from 2002 till 2005 she worked as a trainer for trainers in Bulgarian language at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Preschool and Primary School Education.
Monika Petrova graduated with gold medal from the State Music School “Panayot Pipkov” in the city of Pleven. In 1994 she graduated from the State Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov”, Faculty of pop and jazz music in the accordion class of Associate Professor Georgi Galabov. In 1998 she was granted a scholarship by the Austrian Ministry of Science and Transport for a project on the history and education of accordion. In Austria she attended extra classes and practiced “Musikalische Früherziehung” (early age music education) at “Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst”, Graz Austria. Later on she attained two postgraduate degrees in “Primary School Education” and “Primary School Education with German” at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. In 1994 she started her professional career as a teacher in accordion, music in German, and from 2003 until 2005 she was a trainer for trainers at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Faculty of Preschool and Primary School Education.
Nadezhda Karamanska and Monika Petrova started implementing their project step by step following the main marketing principle of original and unique idea. The lack of a musical kindergarten on the private education market made them unfold their full potential.
